Ronald Gene Rosbacka, 82, of Wright passed away on Sunday, Nov. 26, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth. Ronald was born to Wilbert and Helen (Soyring) Rosbacka on April 3, 1941, in Moose Lake. Ronald was raised and attended school in Tamarack, graduating from McGregor with the class of 1959. Ronald married Nancy (Randa) on June 4, 1966, and together they shared a life for 40 years and created a loving family.
Ronald was a plant foreman for Peatrex Ltd. until retiring in 2006. Ronald was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the McGregor American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cars and listening to the oldies, and was a master handyman (except for plumbing). He loved spending time with his daughter and granddaughter.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy; sister Carol Randa; in-laws Dennis, Walter, Jack Randa, Clinton and Judy Hakamaki, and Shirley Lund.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Tina Rosbacka; granddaughter, Payton; brothers, Roy (Debbie) and Wayne (Linda); sister Debra (Rich) Anderson; in-laws Richard (Susan) Randa, Daniel (Kay) Randa, Roger Lund, Cooky Nyberg and Beanie Randa; and various nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service on Saturday, Dec. 9, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1705 Wilson Ave, Cloquet. A luncheon will follow. Burial will be in the spring at Eagle Lake Cemetery, Cromwell. Arrangements entrusted to Atkins Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Ave., Cloquet.
