Bruce N. Beck, 86, of Carlton passed away Nov. 28, 2023, at Moose Lake Village. He was born May 26, 1937, in Lauderdale, Minnesota, the son of Daniel and Isabelle (Jackson) Beck. Bruce worked as a heavy equipment operator for Union Local 49, mostly with Johnson Brothers. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1163 in Cloquet. Bruce enjoyed retirement on their hobby farm, and all the animals over the years. He was an avid golfer, golfing up to three times a week into his 80s.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bill and Dennis Beck; sister Edith Loveridge; son Mark McCausland; daughter Pam (McCausland) Pollard; and grandson Austin Davis. He is survived by his wife, Gail Beck; sons Jim (Billi Jo) Beck and Roger (Candi) McCausland; daughter Kitty (Dave Johnson) McCausland; brother Bob Beck; sister Marilyn Schreier; grandchildren Jeremy, William, Noah, Cassandra, Alex and Logan; great-grandchildren, Pierce, Azealia, Sienna and LeeRoy; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Bruce will be held 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. A spring inurnment service will be held at the Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery in Esko.
Arrangements are entrusted to Nelson Funeral Care.
