Obituary: Tori Ann Jordan

Tori Ann Jordan was a caring mother, grandmother, significant other, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend and more. She left this world far too soon on Dec. 13, 2023, at age 45 after a three-and-a-half-year battle with epithelioid hemangioendothelioma cancer.

She was born to Kathleen Latture and Terry Jordan on Sept. 2, 1978. In high school, Tori met the love of her life, Adam Seavey. Together, they had three children, Savanna, Ethan and Hunter. Being a mother was Tori's passion, and when she was not raising her own kids, she was helping to educate other children as a preschool teacher. She did this for 17 years, and was affectionately known to many as "Teacher Tori."

Tori loved spending time planning activities, crafts and playtime for her kids, grandkids and students. This love carried over into her own artistic hobby of photography, which she turned into a side career covering graduations and weddings, and taking family, nature and scenic photos. Tori especially loved photographing her favorite weathered shed up the North Shore, which stood strong and beautiful throughout the years; it is where her ashes will be scattered, as she felt a special connection to this place. Later in life, she took her skills further by creating gnomes, which she sold in stores and at craft sales. In addition to pursuing her passions, she loved spending time with friends and family on outings and gatherings, and on date nights with Adam.

Tori is survived by her significant other, Adam Seavey; a daughter, Savanna Jordan-Seavey; sons, Ethan Jordan-Seavey and Hunter Jordan-Seavey; grandchildren, Dalton, Conrad, Maverick, Emmett and Amelia; father, Terry (Dawn) Jordan; mother, Kathleen Latture; sister Jill (Eric) Miller; sister Janel (Tim) Peterson; brothers, Jesse (Jayme) Jordan, Aaron (Sabrina) Jordan and Terry Baird; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.

Visitation: 4 p.m. until the 5 p.m. celebration of life on Friday, Dec. 22 at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the EHE Foundation.
