Lillian Janet Biebl, 94, passed away on Feb. 2, 2024 in Cloquet. She was born in Two Harbors to John and Jennie (Salo) Hill on Feb. 25, 1929. She graduated from Cloquet High School.
Lillian married Kenneth Tyler Biebl July 7, 1950. She worked a variety of jobs while raising her four children.
Lillian was proud of her Finnish heritage and loved a good sauna. She also had a passion for reading, puzzles, playing games, sewing and traveling. Lillian and Ken's travels took them to 48 states, wintering in Arizona for several years. They enjoyed fishing on the North Shore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 64 years, Ken; brother, Kenneth Hill; sister-in-law, Theresa Hill, and brother-in-law, Mike Sheff.
She cherished spending time with family, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. She is survived by her four children, Gail (Bob) Carlson, Jon (Barbara) Biebl, Mark Biebl, and Jan (Dave) Economy; seven grandchildren, Aaron (Diane) Carlson, Christopher Carlson, Ross (Stef) Biebl, Alison (Seth) Horton, Adam (Chelsey) Economy, Alex (Reid) Larson and Keri (Noah) Halverson; great-grandchildren, Freya, Hannah, Grant, Claire, Noelle, Iris, Amos, Glenn, Jace, Levi, Abby, Rory, Theo, and Lillian; brother, Lyle (Frannie) Hill; sister, Karen Sheff; many nieces and nephews; and her cat Musta.
The family would like to thank the staff at New Perspectives Memory Care and St. Croix Hospice for their loving care of Lillian.
Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16 memorial service at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Esko. A lunch will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery in Thomson Township in the spring.
