Peterson Westerberg American Legion and Auxiliary spaghetti supper 4:30-7 pm., Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 3756 Fair Street in Barnum. Proceeds support Boys and Girls State candidates and Barnum High School scholarships.

Fall bazaar 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., River of Life Church, 1002 Carlton Ave., Cloquet. Crafts, art, food. Proceeds support ministry in Haiti.

Carlton County Farmers Market, 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays through Oct. 19, in front of Premiere Theatres in Cloquet.

Discovery table event at Jay Cooke Park, 11 a.m.- 2:30 p.m. “Take a look at the Bones” display. Stop in anytime during this ongoing program for stories that bones can tell us. The table is set up in front of the River Inn Visitor Center. Park admission required.

Carlton County Animal Rescue will be at Swap, Shop and Snack at the Proctor fairgrounds with adoptable cats and dogs. Free parking, food trucks. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

SUNDAY, OCT 13

Falling Leaves Walk at Jay Cooke Park, 9-10 a.m. A short, easy walk about the changing fall forest as the animals are preparing for winter. Enjoy the unique rhythm of the autumn landscape. Meet at the River Inn Visitor Center. Park admission is required.

MONDAY, OCT 14

Finnish Pannukakku Breakfast, 8 -11 a.m. at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 204 5th St North in Carlton. Sponsored by the Ladies of Kaleva to support scholarships and work at preserving our FInnish heritage. Includes pannukakku (an oven pancake), sausage, coffee and juice.

$9 adults, $5 for 6 and under.

Smear League meets 2-5 p.m. the first four Mondays at the Cloquet VFW. $5 entry. Winnings for first, second and third place.

“Rise and Thrive: Fall Prevention and Safety” talk w/ Cloquet Memorial Hospital, 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Cloquet Library.
