Wright/Cromwell news

Salutations from sunny California. It’s been sunny every day so far, but I will come home to snow.

The next Young Old Timers meeting and gathering is at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9 at the Cardinal Court.

The Lake Country Power district meeting begins at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 4 at the Cromwell Pavilion. A light meal will be served.

Cloquet Community Education is sponsoring a trip to the Plymouth Playhouse in the Twin Cities area on April 24 to see the comedy, “Til Beth Do Us Part.” It is about a couple who both work and decide they need an assistant to help put the house in order. They hire a highly motivated, gregarious southerner named Beth.

The cost is $92, and the coach bus will leave from the Super One back parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Included is a buffet lunch at the Green Mill Restaurant. Reservations need to be made by April 10 and checks should be made out to Cloquet Community Ed, 2001 Washington Ave, Cloquet, MN 55720.

For more information, call (218) 879-1261 or you can call me at 218-357-2385 or 808-366-6582, as I’m trying to get a group of folks from our area to attend.

That’s all the news from the edge of Wright (and beyond).
