Lions spread the light

On Wednesday, April 10, some 27 Carlton Lions Club members and guests assembled 32 Solar Power Light kits to send to Ukraine. One light on a fully charged battery can run for 21 hours, if just using the night light they can run up to 11 days. Duluth's Dave Nonnemacher of New Horizions spoke to the group and walked them through the process of making the lights. He just returned from Ukraine in March where they distributed lights as well as pre-packed meals and medical supplies.
