Congratulations to David Finnila of Wright, on being inducted into the 2024 Minnesota State Auctioneers Association. The Reinhardt Auction Service employee attended auctions in his high school years, and he found that they needed help, and that’s where the seed was planted. Our sympathies to the family of Stephanie Larson, 37, who died on April 14, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Her parents are Todd and DiAnn Larson of Cromwell.

The Cromwell Area Community Club met on April 9 for a regular meeting and to make plans for the upcoming events. The main discussion was on the upcoming Harvest Fest, Sept. 6-8. The next meeting starts at 5 p.m. May 2 at the Pavilion.

Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell will hold its rummage sale 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, April 26 and 8-11 a.m. Saturday, April 27. Drop off donations the week before the sale.

The junior and high school spring band concert is May 1, spring choir concert is May 13, and Grandparents Day is 1 p.m., May 14.

The senior award banquet is 5 p.m. Monday, April 29. The cost of the meal is $5. Call the school to sign up at 218-644-3737. Graduation is May 17.

The Cromwell-Wright school prom will be held on April 27. Attendees will be going to the Villa Vista at 5 p.m. to show off their beautiful dresses and suits.

Attention, parents and youth: There are funds available for kids to attend Camp Vermilion or Camp Hiawatha this summer. Call Bethany or Bethlehem churches and to register while there are openings.

The Cromwell Area Community Club will be doing the annual spring roadside cleaning at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 27. We would like help! Meet at the gazebo by the bank. Bring gloves and tools, and wear boots or sturdy shoes. Lunch will be served around noon.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Gary Larson at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11 at his home in Cromwell.
