The public is invited to attend the Cromwell-Wright School construction project groundbreaking event at 2 p.m. Monday, May 13. Cromwell-Wright residents passed a $6.45 million referendum in February 2023. The project, expected to be completed in fall, will include renovating the parking lot, replacing a portion of the roof, and refreshing the school building common areas and main gym. Also included in the project is an expansion of the existing multipurpose (small) gymnasium. This will provide for a safer physical education space for elementary students and will include a full regulation-size court with adequate bleacher seating for spectators. Preliminary work outside to the east of the building has already begun. If you go, consider wearing boots. There may be mud in the area where the groundbreaking ceremony will be held.
