Obituary: Marie Victoria Stolan

Marie Victoria Stolan, 98, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024, at Barnes Care in Esko. She was born in Hibbing on July 31, 1925, the daughter of John and Concetta (Colalillo) Cucinelli.

Marie was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church in Carlton. She always surrounded herself with music and enjoyed entertaining family and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 35 years, Robert Stolan; sister, Patsy; and special friend, Floyd Haberman. She is survived by her children, Concetta (Mark) Himango, Melanie (Scott) Maki, and Randy Stolan; grandchildren, John (MaLinda) Himango and Jenna Monnier; great-grandchildren, Andrew Himango and Oliviana Monnier.

The family thanks friends and caregivers at Barnes Care for the years of excellent and compassionate care.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at 4 p.m. May 15 at the Buffalo House in Duluth. Arrangements by Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet.
