Mark your calendar for the Holy Trinity/Faith Lutheran Jump into June early sale, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 31 at the Kettle River Senior Center. This will be a plant and bake sale.
The Moose Lake Library used book sale is Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15 at the arena. Donations can be brought there 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, June 11-13. Please do not bring donations to the library.
The Kantela Players will hold an event at the Suomalainen Kirkko on Saturday, June 22. There will also be an ice cream social. Donations of desserts are appreciated. Freewill offerings will help with the maintenance of the cultural center.
When you leave a card at a funeral, it is a good idea to put an address label on the inside of the card to help the family when they are sending thank-you cards.
The Ma & Pa Kettle Days mud bog committee is holding a fundraising event 12-6 p.m. Saturday, June 1 at the Kettle River Veterans Building. There will be a silent auction 12-3 p.m., bingo 50/50 4-6 p.m., a cornhole tournament and some displays. Food and alcohol will be available.
