Wright/Cromwell news

Our sympathies to the family of longtime Wright resident Edna Samuelson, 91, who passed away on May 18 in Duluth. A funeral was held for her on May 24.

The volunteers at the Villa Vista/Cardinal Court were thanked at a breakfast on May 22. They were treated to egg bake, muffins, fruit, coffee and juice. There are many ways to volunteer at our care facility, just stop in and ask if you can be of help in any way or take the time to visit the residents.

As most of you may have noticed, the construction project at the Cromwell-Wright school is underway. It will be ongoing throughout the summer and hopefully completed by the time school resumes in the fall.

The Cromwell-Wright Yearbooks are here, so if you didn’t get yours yet, stop in and pick them up. They are great and have lots of our school’s current history.

There have been many grad parties in the area this month and more to come next month. We can be so proud of the Class of 2024, their accomplishments are astounding. With 33 graduates this year, it’s one of the largest classes in recent history.

The Area Clothing Depot is closing in September or October, and they will be having special sales during the month of June. Watch for more information next week.

There will be Cromwell-Wright area garage sales June 21-23. Join at https://forms.gle/yePhxzwWoCLwaaz16 by June 9 to be included on the map.

That’s all the news from the Edge of Wright.
