Carol Lou Sedor, 90, of Cloquet passed away May 22, 2024. She was born Aug. 7, 1933, to Oscar and Elaine (Anderson) Berg.
Carol graduated from Cloquet High School.
She was married to Donald Sedor on Aug. 3, 1957, and they were blessed with four children. Carol was a true caregiver to her family, always working hard to provide for them and make sure their needs were the priority. Throughout her life, she was so grateful to see her family grow, and treasured the opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
In her later years, she was grateful for the memories made with her special friend, Vincent "Bud" Schmidt.
In her working career, she was employed with Northwest Paper, served as a waitress for Olson's Supper Club and Golden Gate Supper Club, and worked with the Newby law office as a legal secretary in the field for more than 20 years.
Carol was active in her congregation at Queen of Peace Catholic Church and was involved in the school and circle group. She was a former member of the Cloquet Country Club, Carlton County Saddle Club, Lady Foresters, Red Hat Ladies, morning swim group and the VFW, and was a Ruby's Pantry volunteer. She also enjoyed golfing, camping, fishing, swimming, cooking, canning and gardening.
She will be dearly missed.
Carol is survived by her children Dawn Marie (Paul) Drechsler and David Sedor; grandchildren Matthew (Ellie) Sedor, Melanie Berntson, Jacob Sedor, Garrett (Colleen) Drechsler, and Trace (Stephanie) Drechsler; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; children Leanne Sedor-Jarvis and Timothy Sedor; grandson Cole Drechsler; and sister, Judy Chapman.
Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, June 1 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. Interment will be at New Calvary Cemetery in Cloquet. A luncheon will follow at Nelson Funeral Care.
