The city of Carlton’s annual Carlton Daze celebration is just around the corner, July 26-28. Please come and join the fun.
This year’s Carlton Daze will start off with the 5K race at 7 p.m. Friday, July 26 in front of the Four Seasons Sports Complex and Event Center. Participants can sign up online or the day of the race at the Four Seasons complex. If your organization or business is planning to participate in the festivities, contact Daisy Rose at [email protected], or call 218-384-4225, ext. 213 to be listed on the schedule.
The rummage and garage sale season is here! The next rummage sale will be held Aug. 8-10 at the Four Seasons complex. There will be 20-by-20-foot spaces available for a donation to the Robert Rodd scholarship fund. Contact Leola at 218-310-6065 for more information.
The Gigantic Garage Sale will be held Sept. 6-7 at Four Seasons. If you would like to donate to this Four Seasons/Carlton Youth Hockey fundraiser or want more information, contact Leola Rodd at 218-310-6065 or Danielle at 218-590-1569. Donations are being accepted now. No clothes, please. The donations will be very much appreciated.

The Bethesda Lutheran Church Carlton Daze pancake breakfast is 8-11 a.m. Saturday, July 27 at the church, 204 Fifth St, in Carlton. Cost: $8.
This year’s National Night Out is 5:30-7 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Northern Pacific Junction Park. The Four Seasons complex is the rain site.
Bethesda Lutheran Church & River’s Edge Church joint services: 9:30 a.m. July 14 at NP Junction shelter; 10:30 a.m. Aug. 11 at Jay Cooke first shelter; 9:30 a.m. Sept. 8 at NP Junction shelter.
Around town
Four Seasons Sports Complex & Event Center board meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month at the complex. The public is welcome to attend. The next meeting is 7 p.m. July 17.
Carlton Area Lions meetings are at 6 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at the Carlton VFW. Dinner is served. Contact Betsy Anderson at 218-255-5457 for more information.
