Wannisa Lynn Aho, 42, of Wright passed away peacefully at home on July 19, 2024. She was born July 23, 1982, to Michael and Dianna (Rose) Couture. She was the second of two children. Wannisa grew up on a farm in Brookston. She was an animal lover and had many pets throughout her life. She attended AlBrook schools. She met the love of her life, Scott Aho, in 2018, and they married June 12, 2021.
Wannisa is survived by Scott and their children, Michael and Montgomery; stepchildren, MiLyssa Aho, Tim Fox Aho and Clarice (Amon) Crider; mother, Dianna; brother, Michael Duane Couture; mother-in-law, Gerry Aho; brother-in-law, Tony Aho; grandchildren, Peyton and Amaya Fox Aho; special friend, Angel Lund; and many other family members and friends.
Wannisa was preceded in death by her father, Michael; grandparents Duane and Betty (Rose); and aunt, Wanda.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
A memorial gathering will be held at noon, with a service at 2 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 23 at Fond du Lac's Cloquet Community Center, 1720 Big Lake Road. Private interment will be at Arrowhead Cemetery in Brookston. Arrangements are by Atkins Northland Funeral Home in Cloquet.
