Young Life golf outing draws a big crowd

The Young Life golf outing drew 29 teams to the Cloquet Country Club in early August. Young Life is a faith-based organization that connects caring adults with high school and middle school students. The group is in its 23rd year in the Cloquet area. "As leaders, we meet students on their turf and spend time getting to know them," said Young Life's Brian Points. "We build trust so we can be great listeners and advice givers when needed. We also hold weekly meetings called 'club' at which we play fun games, get to know other students in the community, and hear about Jesus." Young Life holds two main fundraisers each year, the golf outing (which had more than 70 sponsors) and a fall banquet. Find out more at cloquetarea.younglife.org.
