Car enthusiasts averse to shiny chrome and bright hot rod colors gathered in Mahtowa Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, for the annual Rat Rod Rendezvous. There were street rods and other classic cars on "Shine on Saturday" and then the rat rods rolled in for "Rusty Sunday."
