Congratulations to Marcus Pocernich for being named “Rookie of the Year” at Breakfast Point Academy in Florida, where he teaches.
The members of Bethlehem Lutheran in Wright are holding a congregational meeting after worship on Oct.13. They will be voting on two questions:
1. Should Bethlehem sell its property to the City of Wright for a nominal price, and
2. Should Bethlehem begin the process for closure.
All members of the congregation are encouraged to attend as these important decisions are made.

Don’t forget that the Floodwood Clothing Closet, on main street, across from the post office, will accept donations when they are open, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. You can also drop off donations in the little building next to it at any time.
The Cromwell Methodist Church will be having a free chili meal on Saturday at the church, with worship at 4 p.m. and chili following at 5. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Our sympathy to the family of Evelyn Houck on her recent passing.
Here’s some friendly advice: When your child or any child, starts speaking to you, put down your phone and look them in the eyes. Do this as soon as you hear their voice. Even if it’s just to tell them you need some time to finish whatever it is you are doing. But make eye contact every single time. Your child is more important that your phone. Never, ever give them a reason to think otherwise.
That’s all the news from the Edge of Wright and Cromwell Corner.
