Blue Crab Properties, LLC. is excited to announce their new senior development on Sunrise Drive in Carlton, Minnesota.

Owners Matt and Amy DeCaigny and Kris and Ann Johnson are all graduates of Carlton High School. Matt and Amy DeCaigny are also the owners and operators of DeCaigny Excavating, Inc. in Sawyer. Kris and Ann Johnson own and operate Lake Superior Energy Company in Cloquet. Their expertise in excavating and electrical contracting, combined with many prior building projects, produce well-built and beautiful residences.

“We saw a need for a senior housing community in Carlton,” the owners said.

The 55-Plus community will feature nine one-level luxury Townhomes. The first townhouse is completed and occupied; the second townhouse has recently been completed and currently has two units available.

Construction has begun on the third townhouse and is expected to be completed by early summer

of 2025.
