Marjorie Stone Christofferson, 69, passed away at home with her family on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024 succumbing to ALS. Margi was born to Vernon and Norma Stone in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Dec. 3, 1954.
Margi graduated from Alma High School in Wisconsin in 1972 and later earned a degree from University of Wisconsin-Stout. She was an educator for the Singer Company, where she met her husband, Doug Christofferson.
Margi was also employed as a manager at Sofro Fabrics, the purchasing project manager for Wear-A-Knit Co., owner/operator of The Crystal Thimble for custom sewing, and manufacturing manager for Bergquist Imports, where she retired in 2020.
Margi was an active volunteer as a member of the Women of Today in Cloquet, chairwoman of Cloquet Lumberjack Days, local youth program volunteer, Cub Scous leader, Youth Venture Crew and chaired a number of committees for the Voyageurs Area Council B.S.A.
Margi was a beacon of kindness and creativity, known for her warm smile and generous spirit. A passionate artist and skilled craftswoman; she found joy in sewing, scrapbooking, photography, and crafting unique creations that brought beauty into the lives of those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Norma Stone; and sister Barb Ganz (Donny), all of Alma. She is survived by her husband, Doug Christofferson; sons, Ryan and Cory Christofferson; brother David (Pat) Stone; sisters Becky (Phil) Robertson and Karen (Dave) Smith; and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
There will be a celebration of life for Margi, with the date and location to be determined.
