Downhill ski, snow gear swap returns

The Duluth Ski and Snowboard Club ski and snowboard swap is back for its 53rd year this weekend at Spirit Mountain’s lower chalet off Grand Avenue. The event hosts hundreds of outdoor enthusiasts each year over the course of four days, offering used ski and snowboard equipment at a reasonable rate and for a good cause.

Used equipment can be donated, resold or purchased at the swap with a portion of the commission being donated to the club to help fund the upcoming season. It’s the club’s largest fundraiser of the season.

The chalet will be open 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to noon Sunday. All equipment that is not purchased must be picked up by 2 p.m. on Sunday or left for donating or recycling.
