Suicide prevention training available

Sign up for a free community suicide gatekeeper training session 4-5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4 online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/QPR11424 or by calling Carlton County Public Health at 218-878-2846. During the training, community members will learn myths and facts about suicide, learn warning signs for a suicide crisis, as well as the QPR method: How to Question a person about suicide; Persuade them to get help; and Refer them to the appropriate resources. All community members over age 16 are invited to attend as we are all in a position to help our friends and family. This training is sponsored by the Carlton County Suicide Prevention Task Force. Support is also provided by the Suicide Prevention Regional Coordination Grant.
