Letter to the Editor: Dunlap has skills to get job done

My husband and I have known Caleb Dunlap since he was in the eighth grade. It has been amazing to see him grow throughout the years to become the accomplished young man he is today.

We support him in his quest to become a Carlton County commissioner from District 1 because we believe his education and experience will serve him uniquely for this position. Caleb graduated from Cloquet High School and then went on to study at the University of California Los Angeles. After finishing college, he was hired by a successful West Coast company. At a meeting where employees and management discussed various focus groups that were necessary to the company, Caleb noticed the absence of a potential group. When he asked about it, the manager agreed it was vital and appointed Caleb the task of creating, planning

for, and managing the new group.

He identified the need. He took the initiative. He carried out and managed the plan. He knows how to do long-term planning. He continues to hone those skills on the job he does today. That’s the kind of experience he will bring to the county board.

The needs of our county are many. To name a few: Infrastructure. Housing options. Land use. Economic growth. Youth opportunities.

Without a doubt, Caleb is capable of tackling those needs and more while developing programs beneficial to our diverse population.

My husband and I have already voted for Caleb Dunlap for District 1 Carlton County commissioner and I ask for your vote for him, too.
