Volunteers are needed for Wednesday, Nov. 27 at the school for playground duty from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. so the entire staff can enjoy the annual Thanksgiving dinner. Contact the school if you are willing to help at 218-644-2727.

Congratulations to Ari Dahl on her State cross-country race. She placed ninth at the Section 7A meet and 39th at State.

Dylan Nyberg was named Offensive Player of the Year in the 9 North All District team and Brady Dahl was named Defensive Player of the Year. Great going guys.

Community bingo will be held at the Villa /Court at 6 p.m. Nov. 30.

The Villa Vista and Cardinal Courts will celebrate its 50th anniversary at Family Night at 6 p.m. Dec.4. All are encouraged to attend.

Our sympathy to the family of Bill Maki, 78, who passed away peacefully Nov. 11 after a short stay at the Heritage Living Center in Park Rapids. His family ran the Four Corners Store south of Cromwell for many years. Bill was married to Karen (Karki) and started a family that grew to include two boys, Todd and Chris. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Friday, Nov 22, at the Heritage Living Center Chapel in Park Rapids. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 23, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Nevis.

Christmas break at school will be Dec. 23 through Jan. 1.
