Robert E. Anderson, 94, formerly of Cloquet, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2024, in Ramsey, Minnesota. He was born Dec. 31, 1929, in Brookston, the son of Hjalmer and Minnie (Severson) Anderson.
Robert attended Brookston School and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He married Beverly Holman on Jan. 8, 1973. He was employed at Conwed/USG and retired after 47 years.
He enjoyed fishing, trapping, and watching the Minnesota Twins.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Cecelia (Blazivic); second wife, Beverly (Holman); brothers, Gus, Oscar, Harry, George, and Bill Anderson; and sisters, Myrtle Johnson and Betty Kuklis.
Robert is survived by his children, Ceceal Anderson, Jeannine (Tim) Nordin, Joel Anderson, Virginia "Ginger" (Robert) Spiess, Denise (Darrin) Echelmeier, and Jamie (Andrea) Anderson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred (John) Birchall and Shirley (Dean) Fuller; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A funeral service for Robert will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 with a visitation one hour prior to his service at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet. A family celebration will take place in the spring. To sign an online registry, visit http://www.nelsonfuneralcare.net.
