There’s not much time left now before Christmas, so please try to take part in some of the following events around our area.
The students at the school will be celebrating Jolly Days next week. Each day the kids will wear designated outfits. Monday, Dec. 16 is Merry Morning, Holiday Pajamas day; Tuesday is Elf Yourself, dress like one of Santa’s helpers day; Wednesday is Christmas Spirit colors day; Thursday is Ugly Sweater day; and Friday is Dress Your Best day. I had the chance to attend opening night of “A Goblins’ Christmas Carol,” at the County Seat Theater in Cloquet. This one will get you in the mood for Christmas. The remaining dates are Dec. 14 and Dec. 15. Call 218-878-0071 or visit countyseattheater.com/tickets for tickets.
The Bethlehem Lutheran church women will have their Christmas bazaar 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 14. You can bring new and gently used winter items anytime. This will be their last sale before the church closes, so clean out those items to donate to the sale.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Cromwell City Hall to hear your kids’ Christmas wishes and give out treats from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Bring your cameras or phones to take photos.
The elementary school Christmas program is at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16. The high school program is at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
