Obituary: Beverly Joyce Eknes

Beverly (Bastien) “Becky” Eknes, 96, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton. She was born and raised in Cloquet.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage; and two children, Denelle and Mike; her parents, Arthur and Mary; and two sisters, Betty and Analee.

She is survived by her children, Tobi Frey (Perry), Pixie Simmons and Eric Eknes; five grandchildren, Johnny, Carl, Bridget, Laura and Lacey; two great-grandchildren, Jemma and Lydia; and two brothers, David and Larry Bastien.

Becky was well-known for her outgoing nature and her love for her lake. She loved being outdoors and spending her time working on her beach and garden and going for walks.
