Obituary: Barbara Ruth Anderson

Barbara Ruth Anderson, 84, of Hastings, Minnesota passed away Dec. 19, 2024 at White Pine Memory Care in Cottage Grove.

Barbara was born July 9, 1940, to Roy and Margaret Anderson in Cloquet. Barbara graduated from Cloquet Senior High School in 1957. She had many jobs throughout her life, including working at Diamond Match and Johnson Co. in Cloquet. She worked for more than 20 years as a blackjack dealer at Treasure Island Casino.

Barbara enjoyed having friends and family in her life. She enjoyed hosting many get-togethers and had many pool parties at her condo in Hastings. She would drive all over Minnesota to visit family whenever she wanted to in her retirement. She enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed sharing it with others.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Margaret Anderson; and her sister, Carol Randa.

Barbara is survived by her five children, Jeanine Boss, Michael Boss, Russell Boss, Christine (Curt) Williams and Diane Zezulka; grandchildren, Travis (Claudia) Boss, Daniel (Jillian) Zezulka, Tawny Williams, Katie Zezulka, Brendan (Rachel) Boss and Aaron Boss; great-grandchildren, Sadie, Paige, Jackson, Owen and Beau; and many other family members.

A Celebration of Life for Barbara will be held 4-7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings.
