Obituary: Carol Elizabeth Tischer

Carol Elizabeth Tischer was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully on Nov. 12, 2024, after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born to Bert and Dorothy Munter on June 11, 1950 in Cloquet, Minnesota.

Carol was happiest when spending time outdoors. She greatly enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the countless camping trips she took with family and friends. Carol had a passion for horses and volunteered at North Country Ride in Carlton, working with special needs individuals. Painting and drawing were additional passions. She earned a bachelor of fine arts from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and leaves behind a large collection of oil paintings.

She is survived by her husband Duane, son Ryan, granddaughter Ruby, and sisters Phyllis and Mary.

A celebration of life will be held 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11 at the Cloquet Public Library.
