Wright/Cromwell News

Happy New Year to all my readers. I hope you have kept your New Year’s Resolutions so far.

My holidays were great. Now, it’s time to get back on a schedule and get some things done or planned for the new year. Just think of 2025, we are now into the second quarter of this century.

I’ve heard from so many of you thanking me for this column. I appreciate all the greetings and all of your friendship. I even run into strangers who seem to know me and when I ask them how they know me, they say they read the column.

Now that I’ve been in my new home in Cromwell for a few months, I’m getting used to this new lifestyle. I sure enjoy the advantages of living in a home with no stairs, no carpeting, brand new appliances, attached garage, and easy access to the community. So, stop in if you want, my new address is 1242 North Star Lane, Cromwell, MN 55726 or P.O. Box 211. But I’m busy, so call at 808-366-6582 to make sure I’m home. Also, just call or email me at [email protected] if you have news to submit in my column.

With the Holy Closure of Bethlehem Lutheran church in Wright, we will be having our final worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26. The service will be followed by a catered meal. If you have any special memories, please email or mail them to me at my new address. I’d like to make a booklet of these memories. Also, if you have old photos, send them to me or bring them on Jan. 26.

Beginner group guitar lessons start in January with MaryRose Varo. For more information or to sign up, call her at 218-451-6094.

Upcoming events:

• YOT meets 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Cardinal Court. Come for lunch, stay for the fun.

• The Bookmobile is being repaired, so there will be no area visits until after Jan. 15.

• Look on the school’s website for sports schedules.

That’s all the news from the Edge of Wright and Cromwell Corner.
