Obituary: Glen Erickson

Glen Erickson, a kind and generous soul, passed away Dec. 15, 2024. Born and raised in Cloquet, Glen graduated from Cloquet High School in 1985. He later moved to Dallas, where he co-founded Erickson & Erickson Construction with his brother Keith, building fine homes across the area.

A proud veteran, Glen served in the U.S. Navy Reserve for 16 years. A humble yet highly skilled builder, Glen’s talents were evident in every project he undertook. During his time with the Seabees he was offered a promotion but declined, choosing instead to focus on his passion for construction and craftsmanship. This decision reflected his unwavering dedication to his work and the simple joys he found in using his hands to create things that would last.

His love for the outdoors led him to embrace ranching in his later years, raising beef cattle while finding joy in fishing and hiking through Texas parks. In his final chapter, Glen explored the country as a driver for Schneider Company, blending his love for adventure with his strong work ethic. Those who knew Glen remembered his warm heart, boundless generosity, and deep connection to the people and places he cherished.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Christine (Moe) and John B. Erickson of Cloquet. He is survived by his siblings, Keith Erickson and Susan Erickson Ingram (Harry V. Ingram III) and their children.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Glen’s honor to the American Cancer Society at http://www.cancer.org.

Glen’s kindness and generosity will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
